Execution Agents

Description: Silk Mobile uses XML-RPC protocol to communicate between the Silk Mobile client (language code specific) combined with a specific port and the tested device.

How to get to the Agent Properties Window on Silk Mobile UI.

Notes:

  1. Agent #1 is the Silk Mobile UI port. Any interaction with the device there will be with this port only.

  2. When multiple agents are enabled, it will allow parallel execution on multiple device from a code framework.

  3. OSs listed beside the ports indicates the possible types of devices can run using it.

In this example - there are three ports:

  • On port 8889: It enables to run android, iOS,windows Phone 8 and Blackberry devices.

  • On port 8890: It enables to run android, iOS,windows Phone 8 and Blackberry devices.

  • On port 8891: It enables to run android, iOS,windows Phone 8 and Blackberry devices.

Options:

Stop the agent

Notice:

  • When the Agent is stopped the user can change the port number.

  • The port number can be entered manually or adjusted using the up and down arrows.

Start the agent

Refresh

  • Refresh all running agents.

OK

Close the Agent properties window.
